Performance management is key to our success individually and as a part of the AU community. This yearly appraisal process focuses on goal setting, one-to-one feedback, core competencies, and improving personal development to continuously make a stronger AU for the community and our students.

Diversity & Inclusion Growth Series, a three-level multi-media curriculum that focuses on awareness, self-exploration, and allyship. (Fall 2019)
Being Inclusive, A Storytelling Series, a series that brings together AU's diverse community to provide opportunities to share our experiences in a unique forum of storytelling and to influence a better work environment. Inclusive Hiring, offers several in-person course curriculm to increase diversity in the hiring staff, internally and externally, in student-facing and managerial roles. This is offered to all hiring faculty and staff.
Training & Conversation, a two part training, Diversity: Inclusion in the Modern Workplace, a one hour e-Learning to consider how culture, power, and priviledge intersect in the work environment. Building a Shared Vocabulary, a facilitated conversation that provides space for staff to share how themes from the e-Learning that show in our everyday experiences.
The 21st Century Leadership Insititute, on it's sixth cohort is an academy in which a select group of mid-level leaders meets in a development program that integrates experiential and cognitive classroom learning with practical action learning.
Cohort members are nominated by university leaders and invited by the university president to participate in the program based on their contributions to the university.
