Bio
David Reznik’s scholarship is at the nexus of contemporary social theory, ethnographic research methods, intersectional identity politics, and 21st-century popular culture/mass media. He has published a book and several peer-reviewed journal articles on a variety of topics, including American Jewish racialization in U.S. cinema, White working-class masculinity in courtroom trials, utopian visions among independent filmmakers, and globalization's impacts on medicine. He recently completed a manuscript relating Jodi Dean’s theorizing of comradeship to Luca Guadagnino’s 2020 television series, We Are Who We Are, and he is currently working on a project about the representational scapegoats of insufficient intersectionality within identity-related activism today.
