Sophie Hathaway
Public Health, 2022
Sophie Hathaway, originally from Massachusetts, is a senior studying Public Health and Health Promotion. Aside from peer advising, Sophie is also a research assistant in the Lavender Lab, program manager for the Kennedy Political Union, and member of Phi Delta Epsilon pre-medical fraternity. This is her second year as a peer advisor.

Megan McCarthy
Sociology, 2022
Megan McCarthy is a Senior from Connecticut majoring in Sociology. She is interested in researching global gender and wealth inequalities and hopes to work in academia post-graduation. She has worked with organizations to prevent sexual assault on college campuses and worked in student government. With her free time, Megan likes to try different workout classes, go to brunch and watch true crime documentaries.

Kai Wasson
Public Health, 2022
As a third year in the Public Health Scholars Program, Kai is happy to be rounding out my AU undergraduate career as a CAS Peer Advisor. In May, he will be graduating with a BS in Public Health and a minor in Sociology. Kai is currently a Research Assistant in the Department of Health Studies’ Lavender Lab, where he works on projects that study health disparities among sexual minority youth. He also works with a faculty member on their research into HIV and ageing populations. In the future, Kai hopes to pursue a career in health research, and plans on returning to college for my MPH. Next year, Kai will be staying on at AU in the MA in Sociology Research and Practice program.
